[How Sweet it is]
Number six on the greatest singers of all time list by Rolling Stone Magazine we find Marvin Gaye. Mostly known for his sensual hit “Let’s Get it On” or even his introspective song “What’s Going On” he definitely had a compelling and alluring sound.
His stellar voice will give you chills at times and make you melt at others. His swagger is stunning. Like any story book artist his death was controversial and glum. Shot by his father a day before his 45th birthday after a tortured last few months where Gaye even tried throwing him self from a speeding car from bleak suicidal thoughts.

How deep the sorrowful waters must have run for this gifted artist. Above is the video for an A cappela version of “I heard it through the grapevine”. Stunning.
possibly the best thing i’ve ever seen!!

One of my favorite romantic comedies of all time isn’t even a chick flick - it’s a guys chick flick! (dick flick)
Forget When Harry met Sally. Who cares about The Notebook. TRUE ROMANCE captures the passion, pitfalls and pulse of falling in love. of love conquers all. of capability. of relationships. of guns. of drugs. of blood. and of good old fashion action-shoot-em-up drama!
There is no denying that Patricia Arquette plays the most lovable hooker and Christian Slater the bravest laid-back-comic-book-reading hottie in the world. Gary Oldman is amazing as usual. Brad pitt plays a perfect stoner. Obviously Quentin Tarantino best written work. If you haven’t seen it. watch it. Parental Advisory. People against True Love Advisory.
As Alabama (Patricia Arquette) says,
“ I had to come all the way from the highway and byways of Tallahassee, Florida to MotorCity, Detroit to find my true love. If you gave me a million years to ponder, I would never have guessed that true romance and Detroit would ever go together. And til this day, the events that followed all still seems like a distant dream. But the dream was real and was to change our lives forever. I kept asking Clarence why our world seemed to be collapsing and things seemed to be getting so shitty. And he’d say, “that’s the way it goes, but don’t forget, it goes the other way too.” That’s the way romance is… Usually, that’s the way it goes, but every once in awhile, it goes the other way too.”
[Funny Funny Ha Ha]

I’ve always found the illustrations on the front covers of books to be fascinating. How does an author decide what image will capture their entire work. What if that was your job? You had to read novels and then design a cover for them. It is like taking someone else’s artistic expression and turning it into your own. I suppose its like a Director and a Script.

The colors are much more vibrant when you see the orginal which is housed in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. I was majorly taken with it. It could be one of my favorite pieces of art.
